Due to the public and media outcry for video surveillance of first responder contact, specifically that of law enforcement, the issue of utilizing body worn camera’s have sparked several conversations regarding the potential use of such technology throughout the first responder communities. With the need for transparency, balanced by the ability to review contacts made by first responder members, the controversy of utilizing such technology creates quite a conundrum for our current entities. Will body camera’s hurt the industry or propel first responder’s efforts far into the future?
