Established since 1990, International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners (ISCPP) has been awarding CPS as recognition to crime prevention practitioners around the world who possess in-depth knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the field of crime prevention. In year 2005, ISCPP released a completely new and updated International Crime Prevention Specialist Curriculum which was written by crime prevention professionals from all over the world. It is a comprehensive 500 pages of training and reference manual which includes 15 core subject lessons, 14 elective subjects and 7 resources chapters.

ICPS Training and Test is a 3 days intensive review of the ICPS Curriculum which prepares the participants to take the ICPS test at the end of the course. When the participants pass the ICPS Test, the ISCPP Board of Directors confers the designation “ICPS” which stands for International Crime Prevention Specialist. The participants can use the initials after their names (for example Mr. Derick Ding, ICPS) which is recognised internationally as a specialist in the field of crime prevention.
